All across the country, there are plenty of festivals during the fall season, and in Central California, popular fall activities are celebrated with a West Coast twist. Here are just a few events that you’ll want to check out with your friends or family.

Corcoran Cotton Festival, and kicks off with a parade down Whitley Avenue at 10 a.m. Swimming, a 5K run, and a softball tournament are fun for the active festival goer, while others may choose to play bingo, horseshoes, or carnival games. Annual Oakhurst Fall Festival

Travel to Oakhurst Community Park for the area’s annual festival, also known as the Oakhurst Wine and Chocolate Festival, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, October 8-9, 2016. Vendors will offer tastes of locally brewed beers, wines, chocolate, and other tasty treats. Local artisans will display their unique art and crafts for sale. Live musical entertainment will take place on both days, and there will be a car show as well. Springville Apple Festival

Springville’s 36th annual apple festival will take place on October 15-16, 2016, and draw approximately 20,000 visitors. This is a family-oriented event, so there is something for guests of all ages. Carnival rides, live entertainment, and music, as well as locally produced crafts, will be available weekend long.

The Apple Run will also continue this year with 5K, 10K, and kids’ run options. There will also be a two-mile walk on Saturday morning, as well as the the Annual Fat Tire Classic Mountain Bike Race, an eight-mile circuit course behind the Tule River on Sunday morning.
